Green Vilnius Hotel organized a wireless network of standard 802.11n

On October 14, 2016 the Edimax Technology company announced the project of the organization of a wireless network of data transmission in Green Vilnius Hotel. As the technological solution the equipment for Wi-Fi of networks of scale of a campus from Edimax Technology company is used.

Project Tasks

The main characteristics which became defining at equipment selection by the customer:

• support of modern wireless standards,
• providing high-speed seamless radio covering
• the organization of network entirely on the platform of the equipment of one producer.

The choice was influenced by a ratio price/quality and the lifelong guarantee of producer (Life-Time warranty) extended to supplies of equipment in the European Union countries.

Project Results

The technological solution is created on the basis of access points of Edimax of CAP300 and CAP1200 models which were under control of the APC500 controller. A network part relied on the 24-port GS-5424PLG switch. 20 access points which due to support of the built-in protocol 802.11k and 802.11r created seamless network in the hotel building are used. In numbers points of CAP300 of ceiling fastening are used.
