2020: Implementation of an ACS of Solvo.TOS 6.4
On March 19, 2020 the SOLVO company reported that in August, 2019 on the container terminal of the German logistic company Hamburger Hafenund Logistik AG – HHLA TK Estonia AS in the Estonian port Muuga came to the end implementation of the version of the Solvo.TOS 6.4 system. The project was implemented in 10 months.
Main goals of the project consisted in optimization of work of a container part of the terminal by replacement of the outdated Solvo.CTMS system by an end-to-end system of control of the container Solvo.TOS terminal.
Solvo.TOS Maritime Container Terminal is the integrated automated control system the container terminal developed by SOLVO company and constructed on the Solvo.TOS 6.x platform. It covers processes of acceptance, storage, processing and shipment of containers, processings of ship, automobile and railway fronts, controls of the equipment and also commercial document flow of the container terminal in real time.
"We wanted to upgrade the existing system to receive modern standard functionality of a management system for the terminal and also to implement add-on modules of the graphic platform and cargo planning of courts for considerable improvement of the existing production processes. In addition this upgrade allowed to implement a hi-tech planning module of railway transactions. Use of JMS exchange in the XML format for integration with other systems was a part of adaptation of Solvo.TOS to requirements of the terminal", 'Stanislav Koval, the head of group of information technologies and development of HHLA TK Estonia AS noted' |
The main services rendered by the HHLA TK Estonia AS terminal for March, 2020:
- processing of container ships and RO-RO and LO-LO vessels;
- processing of general and bulk cargoes;
- storage of loads in the opened and covered warehouses both in the free customs zone, and beyond its limits;
- connection of ref-containers to the power supply network and monitoring of temperature;
- loading/unloading of heavy-load and bulky goods;
- a possibility of a complete set of trailers and containers the mixed loads.
In addition to the modules which are available in the former Solvo.TOS system, appeared additional which lifted operation of the terminal to higher level. The module of management of placement on the container platform with the visualized topology of the terminal and interactive opportunities - Solvo.WTM was integrated into a system, interfaces of managers are updated. There was upgraded version of the module of ship planning of unloading/loading of containers with automatic and semi-automatic modes of planning, the integrated processor of EDI messages, 3D - the mode of creation of the vessel and genetic algorithms of synchronization of mooring overloaders.
Also the solution for automation of transactions of planning on the railway front – drawing up the schedule of container trains, pogruzo-discharging in the automated mode was developed and implemented. And the graphic application for the railroad gave the chance to display in a schematical type the course of loading/unloading of cars in real time.
In a system the functionality of autopurpose of the equipment according to priorities, routings of the equipment taking into account different factors, synchronization of works, an algorithm of calculation of a priority of taking of this or that work as the operator and other functions appeared. Among important additions in a system the module of depot of empty containers and the automated place of the crane operator appeared.
Within the project of updating of a management system for the Solvo.TOS terminal it was integrated with different external systems, including Terminal Community System integrating all ports and terminals of the HHLA group in Europe and also with the ERP system of the terminal by means of the integration EDBic platform from the technology partner of "SOLVO" of Compacer company.
System implementation of Solvo.TOS 6.4 on the container HHLA TK Estonia AS terminal in the Estonian port Muuga was resulted by noticeable increase in efficiency of the terminal:
- time of processing of courts was reduced;
- the cargo planning of courts began to be performed by terminal forces;
- the time spent of loads and containers for the terminal was reduced;
- idling of the equipment and the number of unproductive movements of containers (stowages) is minimized;
- processing of vehicles accelerated;
- the number of commercial defects at document creation decreased;
- there was a possibility of providing information on existence and the movement of containers to divisions of the terminal and to third-party users (ship lines, agents, forwarding agents);
- there was a possibility of a registration and document transfer by partners in the mode of remote access.
According to the management of the terminal, use of technical and software tools allows to provide stable processing of courts with a performance up to 90 units per hour, and to perform processing of the car with a container on average in 25 minutes, since the moment of its entrance on the terminal and finishing with departure from the terminal.
