On July 12, 2019 the Helicopters of Russia Holding (enters into State Corporation Rostec) reported that in 2019 it is going to execute reengineering about 30 parts using 3D technology - printings and to implement them in serial production since 2020.
In 2019 we should complete reengineering about 30 parts and constructions which will be made using additive technologies. The current technology of their production is different - it is casting, stamping, machining. It will be necessary to transfer them to a method of 3D-printirovaniya (printing). According to plans, their implementation in production will begin since 2020. It is about serious, power structural elements, units and the systems of our helicopters. Let's make by the end of the year the decision whether we are ready to that to put a part of parts on serial machines, told Andrey Shibitov, the chief innovation officer of Helicopters of Russia company

Each unit will undergo constructive processing, testing for durability, working off in terms of all modern production technologies. Then within tests it will be necessary to confirm that the part executed using an additive technology is equal or exceeds the substituted analog on the characteristics. Only after such careful analysis of a part will be able to get aboard production helicopters. For July, 2019 reengineering there undergo, in total, already 80 parts.
In production helicopters of the Russian production there are no parts executed on additive technologies yet. Since 2020-22. "Helicopters of Russia" predict increase in use of quantity of the made additive parts worldwide.
The Helicopters of Russia holding provided the light multi-purpose VRT500 and Ansat helicopters in a medical complete set.
VRT500 is the light single-engine helicopter of the coaxial layout chart of screws with a take-off weight of 1600 kg. The machine will have the most volume in the class a passenger-and-freight cabin with a total capacity up to 5 people and to be equipped with a modern complex of interactive avionics. The flight technical characteristics put in the helicopter will allow it to gather speed to 250 km/h, to make flights on range to 860 km, to take aboard up to 730 kg of payload.
The light multi-purpose two-engine Ansat helicopter is actively operated in sanitary aircraft of Russia. It has compact dimensions and does not require the big platform for landing. Also it can be used to passenger and VIP-transportations, cargo delivery, monitoring of the environment. The mountain tests of Ansat which confirmed a possibility of his work in the mountain area at the heights up to 3500 meters are successfully complete.
