  • Increase controllability development process of the design estimates (DE)
  • Automate and at the expense of it to reduce terms of approval of documents and issue of tasks to suppliers
  • Provide status monitoring of a project portfolio

For the solution of assigned tasks specialists of Hotcha Sea Design company selected a management system for technical document flow of Vitro-CAD.

Project Progress

Staff of Hotcha Morskoye Proyektirovaniye implemented the Vitro-CAD system independently at consulting and technical support of Vitro Soft manufacturing company.

At implementation of basic functionality industry features of design in shipbuilding were considered, including: the qualifier on industry is created by ESKD, maintaining the magazine of registration of changes and the register of sets is provided, many difficult calculated fields are used.

Experts of Vitro Soft trained in work with the Vitro-CAD system of key users of Hotcha Morskoye Proyektirovaniye who, in turn, trained other employees involved in design process.

Implementation Results

As a result of implementation of Vitro-CAD different user groups received significant savings of working time.

For designers:

  • Search time of documents in archive and the current projects was reduced
  • Document transfer between adjacent divisions was arranged
  • Filling with data of a drawing stamp taking into account alterations is automated (without filing)
  • External references in technical documentation are automatically supported
  • It is provided notifications on completion dates of documents and tasks

In turn, chief project engineers (GIPY) had an opportunity:

  • Control the course of design and completion dates of tasks
  • Lower an assembly time of sections and documents of the project
  • Receive regulated reports and registers
  • Create standard structure of the project documentation based on templates
  • To independently configure access rights to sections and documents of project structure
