I-Teco wants to increase quality of work of employees with business applications

On May 14, 2015 the I-Teco company announced completion of works on the organization of increase in availability, reliability and safety of delivery of business applications of the company to employees and partners. The technological solution on the basis of F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager controllers (LTM) with functions of the firewall (Advanced Firewall Manager) is used.

Project Tasks

"All internal applications of I-Teco are closely integrated and connected among themselves therefore simple upgrade any of components requires big finance and labor costs, – Vladimir Akhmarov, the head of department of system administration of I-Teco company noted. – For the purpose of ensuring trouble-free operation of all crucial services the decision on deployment of the BIG-IP platform from F5 Networks was made. It allows to increase functionality of controllers of delivery of applications not due to change of the hardware, and due to adding of necessary software modules".

Project Progress

Within a year the team of engineers of the system integrator with assistance of experts of F5 Networks developed technical requirements, carried out pilot implementation using BIG-IP LTM Virtual Edition virtual machines and tested work of the solution in the conditions of the mode of limited operation for the purpose of check of availability of necessary functionality. At the moment a system is put into productive operation.

"The uniqueness of this project, in my opinion, consists in implementation of a uniform point of management of safety certificates for the published annexes without risk to open a private key and also in programmability of the F5 BIG-IP platform by means of the iRules TCL language for operational elimination of vulnerabilities of web applications to an exit of corrections from software makers, – Dmitry Tikhovich, the partners manager in countries of Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS told F5 Networks companies. – Thanks to implementation of F5 Networks technologies experts of I-Teco could cut down expenses on updating of business applications and minimize time of forced idle time of work of employees".

According to plans, controllers will be deployed also in reserve DPC of the company, it will provide high availability of business applications in case of failure of the main data center.
