The stand simulates the operation of the unit in real conditions. It is fully automated, equipped with domestically produced software. The unit control system operates according to digital protocols, which together allows testing around the clock.

A feature of the tests of the unit is the need to carry out a very large number of similar test cycles. In case of a positive result, the next batch of the product can be shipped to the customer. At our new stand, we plan to carry them out in 20 days, which will reduce the test period by almost half, - said Oleg Kuzhel, director of the branch of UEC MKB Horizon JSC.

The bench uses an air cooling system that ensures the operation of the unit in the required temperature range.

The development of the stand was carried out by the design units of the Salyut production complex of UEC JSC. As soon as possible, the design services of the enterprise prepared the terms of reference for the creation of the stand, developed its scheme, the option of placing it on the site of the branch, issued design documentation, "said Alexey Gromov, head of the Salyut production complex of UEC JSC.

In 2023, it is planned to upgrade the stand for a turbopump unit with increased capacity, which will require changes to both the stand itself and its control system.
