The flagman power enterprise of the Ural region IDGC of Ural started implementation of standard solution SAP ERP 6.0 in all branches.
In "Interregional Distribution Grid Company of Ural" (IDGC of Ural) the project on implementation of the standard solution on automation of financial and economic activity of the enterprise on the basis of [1] SAP ERP software product 6.0 in all branches started. Three branches – Sverdlovenergo, Chelyabenergo and Permenergo and also two affiliated enterprises – Kurganenergo and "EESK" are a part of IDGC of Ural. Now more than 1.6 million consumers, including 30 thousand the largest industrial enterprises of the Ural region are attached to the electric networks of IDGC of Ural. The enterprise exercises control of the distribution grid companies in the territory of 4 regions.
The information system in IDGC of Ural is in commercial operation more than 17 years. This ERP system is inherited from the Sverdlovenergo enterprise where the first system implementation of SAP in the power industry in the CIS countries was implemented.
According to Yury Lebedev, the deputy CEO to technical issues, the chief engineer of IDGC of Ural, in the company were convinced of reliability and efficiency of SAP solutions [2] (file) therefore a uniform ERP system is decided to be built on the basis of this solution.
In June, 2009 a competition on the ERP system implementation project implementation right as a result of which the IBA company (JV International Business Alliance) was selected was held.
The project started in June of the current year. It is begun with development of the standard project solution (SPS) on automation of accounting and tax accounting, the cost accounting, inventory management (MTS), sale regarding other implementation, personnel management and payroll using the standard opportunities of SAP ERP 6.0 which were absent in earlier version of a system of SAP.
It is also supposed to implement a management subsystem maintenance and repairs of the equipment (TORO) and also to prepare the relevant data for loading in a system.
It is going to implement the standard project solution in executive office of the enterprise and in three of its branches. Within replication decisions will be passed works on personnel training of branches. Besides, support of the ERP system at a stage of commercial operation is planned.
According to Gabriel Kolmogorov, the chief of IT department of IDGC of Ural, a uniform ERP system will increase system effectiveness of company management due to information support of decision making. Besides, costs for IT infrastructure by transition of all branches to a single platform of SAP ERP 6.0 should be reduced.
For comparison, is also implemented into IDGC of Siberia companies on the basis of mySAP Business Suite. By this moment [3] the first ERP systems block, the budgeting automation block is started. The project starting at the end of 2008 is going to be completed in June, 2010. A system will integrate about 1500 users. In 2009-2011 use in the company of industry solution for the power industry of mySAP IS-U and also implementation of mySAP add-on modules on customer relationship management, management of maintenance and repairs of the equipment is planned.
The similar project in IDGC of Centre on SAP implementation of ERP is implemented since 2002. In April, 2008 the ERP system integrated management personnel and 11 branches of the energy company – only about 5700 users. Further this number is going to be increased.
Within the ERP system operating with SAP specialists of IBA Group implemented the following business applications:

Now IBA Group performs support of the business applications functioning in composition of SAP ERP in JSC IDGC of Ural. In a response A. Suslov noted: "Consultants and developers of your company showed high professionalism, providing quality and efficiency of development of SAP of a HR system according to changes of business processes of our enterprise and changes of the requirement of the legislation".
