"Rosseti the South" and Rostelecom agreed about implementation of joint projects

2019: The agreement on cooperation on ensuring process management of planning, design and construction of communication networks

On December 6, 2019 "Rostelecom" reported that the CEO Rosseti IDGC of the South of Yug (PJSC) Boris Ebzeev and the vice president – the director of macroregional branch "South" of PJSC Rostelecom Denis Lysov signed the Agreement on cooperation in the field of implementation of joint projects.

The arrangement assumes interaction between the systemically important electric grid company and the national telecom operator on ensuring effective management of planning processes, design and construction of communication networks "Rosseti the South", first of all, fiber-optical, in the territory of the Astrakhan, Volgograd, Rostov regions and the Republic of Kalmykia. The signed agreement for "Rosseti the South" has strategic character. Equipment of an electric grid of the company communication channels will increase observability behind substations that will allow to reduce considerably the number of technology violations and time of shutdown of consumers. In total with already implemented by projects inter-chip digital links open a possibility of forecasting and prevention of emergency situations.

Within digital transformation of the industry our company is interested in creation of high-quality and reliable channels and communication lines for objects of all classes of tension, all infrastructure of an electric grid 'Rosseti the South'. The signed agreement will allow us to solve these problems, making use of experience and technical capabilities of one of telecommunication companies of Russia, noted Boris Ebzeev, the CEO "Rosseti the South"

Digitalization of the electrical power industry is conducted within the state program "Digital economy of Russia" and "The strategy of development for a digital electric grid of the Russian Federation till 2030" developed by PJSC Rosseti.
