2022: Analysis of the capabilities and limitations of production business processes

At the enterprise IKEA Veliky Novgorod , the task was to achieve the maximum production capacity of the factory. BFG Group conducted a project analysis of the capabilities and limitations of the production business processes enterprise based on the application of its own. software

Within the framework of the project, the following works were carried out:

• Stage of data collection, verification and validation;
• A simulation model of production was created, the feasibility of plans by simulation was checked;
• Eliminated performance limitations;
• The planning rules have been changed, new hypotheses have been tested by modeling on the simulation model (the rules for starting orders in operation have been changed, the number of simultaneously executed orders has been limited, the rule for determining the maximum possible batch sizes has been changed, the prioritization of batches has been changed, the resource load rule has been changed).

As a result, the BFG Group software demonstrates the following capabilities:

• 43% reduction in production cycle;
• Reduction of WIP and working capital;
• Reduction of the plan execution duration by 30%;
• Increase of labour productivity;
• An increase of 5% in the profitability of the business as a whole.
