On April 2, 2019 IRIS company reported that it passes to own telephone network.

According to the company, an opportunity to contact quickly the specialist from office even of other region in the short number affects efficiency of problem solvings in the company. Independence of external suppliers of communication services, especially in case of long distance calls, does corporate network economic. It is especially relevant for 85 divisions of IRIS raznoudalenny from each other.

Before IRIS rented telephone communication and the accompanying services, the number plan was included in internal network of other large organization, so it developed historically and was an optimal variant for the solution of certain functional tasks.

The project on the organization of own telephone network and integration from operating is implemented by the Center of telephony of IRIS. Development of IT infrastructure allowed to use cloud solutions: place telephone services in the failsafe, geographically distributed data centers, build SIP trunks with telecom operators, such as Rostelecom and MTT.

Need for development is caused by several advantages:

  • economic feasibility: lack of a payment for negotiations in network, the choice of the telecom operator on long-distance and international negotiations with the minimum cost in the market;
  • development of the accompanying services under requirements of the company: conference systems allow to hold the operational and planned meetings with participation of internal and external users at any moment, mobile phones of employees can be used as corporate for communication from any place in the world where there is an Internet, at the same time all traffic (voice and signaling) is ciphered;
  • safe and high-quality voice data transmission, including on mobile devices due to use of special protocols of communication, in case of failures at the telecom operator SIP trunks switch to other available lines;
  • possibility of the organization of a monitoring system which allows specialists of the company to learn about problems and to take actions for their elimination earlier, than subscribers will detect;
  • carrying out requests on improvement of network through own OTRS thanks to what they are quickly fulfilled by specialists.

The project is in permanent development, a final task - to integrate convenient and fast communication of 1000 employees of the company.
