Trend Investment Company has implemented SearchInform FileAuditor, a DCAP solution for automatically auditing the file system, finding access violations and tracking changes in critical data. SearchInform announced this on November 25, 2025.

Previously, for this purpose, the customer used a system from another manufacturer. But the company needed a more flexible solution with strong analytics.

We tested seven DCAP systems of major market players. According to the results of the pilot project, they made a choice in favor of ChurchInform FileAuditor. The system significantly simplified the categorization of data in the corporate infrastructure, helped to optimize the distribution of users' access rights to confidential information and, in general, improve security, - said Mikhail Sazonov, CISO of Trend Investment Company .

The Trend IC assessed the functionality of the system: FileAuditor scans file storage and classifies documents by name, location and content. More than 80 ready-made automatic classification rules are built into the program, including for searching for files with different types of personal data. Access to such documents can be controlled: limit individual operations (for example, reading, copying, etc.), or prohibit opening a file using any program (instant messengers, mail, etc.).

Now we see a complete picture of the storage and use of leak-sensitive data. This helps the information security department assess risks and strengthen data protection. The main quality of FileAuditor is in its versatility. Out of the box, it allows you to categorize data according to built-in rules, create content-dependent access rules.
