According to CNews, the energy giant plans to purchase 14 high-performance servers and storage systems (DSS). The goal of the project is to create a reliable, high-performance and secure infrastructure for data processing, which will ensure the uninterrupted operation of the company's IT systems.
According to the terms of reference, each of the 14 servers must be equipped with at least two processors with a base frequency of at least 2.8 GHz and 24 cores. The amount of RAM of each server will be at least 1024 GB. Two of the 14 servers will be additionally equipped with powerful graphics accelerators for complex computing tasks.
The data storage system that Rosseti Moscow Region plans to purchase should have high fault tolerance and performance. The DSS of system will be built on a symmetric architecture with two controllers in Active-Active mode, which will ensure uninterrupted operation even in the event of a failure of one of the components.
The modernization project focuses on optimizing the use of IT resources and automating business processes. This will reduce operating costs and increase the efficiency of the company as a whole.
The selection of the contractor for the modernization of the data center will be carried out on a competitive basis. Acceptance of applications from potential performers will last until August 19, 2024, and the winner of the tender will be known on September 6, 2024.[1]
