IT - Rosatom's subsidiary buys Postgres Pro and PostgreSQL DBMS for 828 million rubles

Rosatom Critical Information Technologies JSC (Rokit JSC) has entered into an agreement on the purchase of licenses and technical support services DBMSostgres Pro and PostgreSQL. The contract amount is 828 million rubles. The deal was finalized in December 2025.

According to CNews, the acquisition of rights to use this database management system and related support certificates is designed for three years. The software should function in the environment of Russian operating systems, including Astra Linux Special Edition, Alt Linux, Red OS and Rosa Chrome OS, as well as support x86_64 and Elbrus hardware platforms. The company said that the consideration of analogues from other Russian developers except LLC "PPG" is not provided in connection with the requirement of compatibility with the software already used in the organizations of the state corporation.

In parallel, Rokit JSC is purchasing licenses and support for the Forsyth analytical system for a total of 926 million rubles. It is planned to acquire the rights to the Forsyth platform. In addition to purchasing software products, Rokit JSC is expanding its activities through the acquisition of specialized organizations.
