The purposes of Interfood company are: acquaint a wide range of the Kazakhstan buyers with opportunities of the European producers of high-quality products, facilitate search of types of products, unique and nonconventional for the Kazakhstan market, satisfy the most exacting both to the range, and to goods quality of clients. In the aspiration to make unique offers of the modern advanced industry available to the Kazakhstan consumer the Interfood company in 15 years of the history achieved the leading positions, without ceasing to improve service quality, applying the latest technology developments in this sphere.

Interfood supermarket chain – only in Kazakhstan, performing retail sales in a premium segment. At selection of goods for input in the range of Interfood supermarkets the company is guided by the principles of respect for the high quality standards and also the meeting all sanitary standards, convenient and practical packaging offered by product providers. Today the mass fraction of the goods imported from abroad makes 70%. Only in Interfood supermarkets the high-quality products which are selected and delivered from producers from Germany, the Netherlands, France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Latvia, Portugal, intended for the domestic European market are offered the Kazakhstan consumer. As the company should support considerable stocks of expensive products, in them considerable current assets "are frozen", and managers should pay special attention to effective management of these stocks. Implementation of the analytical QlikView system by means of which in "Interfood" expected to transfer inventory management to qualitatively new level became one of steps for the successful solution of this task.

In 6 weeks the full large-scale project of creation of an analytical system consisting of such stages was executed: training of a team of internal developers, development of technical specifications, application development, applications testing, user training and start of a system in trial operation.

First of all for the company the most popular analysts – on sales and inventory management were created. The appendix on inventory management is contained by a control panel to which indicators of key indicators of activity of the company in the field of inventory management, for example "frozen stocks", "the worst and best goods on turnover", etc. are brought. Several seconds of a glance on a panel are enough to see possible problems. Thus, inventory management actually became for managers interactive process with a possibility of instant reaction. For deeper analysis the staff of the company can seize the flexible opportunities of creation of selections of data on date, a product, a line of goods, type of goods, to the manager, a batch, a warehouse, etc. – to a set of different cuts of data. Application additional the analyst and evident data visualization do analytical work in "Interfood" very simple and effective.

Broad involvement of business users in analytical work became distinctive feature of the project – at once 42 employees of network got access to different applications of QlikView! However there is no wonder, considering that, how conveniently data which were hidden "in" the OBASE system earlier are provided now. Now in QlikView data on several tens of thousands assortment positions, transactions in two last years and tables of a remaining balance and sales with total amounts of data in tens of millions of records are "on the fly" processed. QlikView consolidates data from several sources, including the OBASE systems (the database of ORACLE) and 1C 8.1 (MS SQL database).

Can tell the fact that for several first weeks of work it was succeeded to reduce stocks of imported goods considerably about efficiency of the analytical QlikView system. It is expected that the long-term effect will allow to build full, flexible logistic model of the involved business processes.

Zhumagaliula Maksat, the Chief information officer of Interfood network, commenting on project completion, noted: "We consider an implementation project of a system of analytics of QlikView an important stage of development of our company. It is just that case when technologies play an important role in strategy: in this situation quick access to data necessary to us and their transparency allow to adhere further to the difficult, marketing strategy selected by us, in general, directed to maintenance of the unique range and the most complete satisfaction of buyers. Employees of IT department were impressed with results which we achieved thanks to application of QlikView with its technology of associative work with data in RAM. I am sure that those analytical applications which we have now are only the beginning, and we will develop further a system, extending it to yet not covered functional areas".
