Rusagro demolishes American Cropwise and introduces Russian IT solution for 670 million rubles

Rusagro is introducing a domestic IT system by agricultural production instead of the American platform Cropwise and will spend 670 million rubles on this. The largest agricultural holding in Russia announced this on October 13, 2023.

The announced project involves the introduction of the "Field History" service, which allows you to collect, analyze and store all information on the economy in a single system. This solution will help reduce the time for collecting and analyzing data from fields, prevent theft of inventory and reduce their consumption, increase yields, reduce the cost of fertilizers and plant protection products, Rusagro expects.

The Field History cloud platform consists of 12 components:

• Data Base;
• Map of fields and inventories;
• Planning and accounting;
• Finance;
• GIS module;
• Field inspections;
• Dispatch Center;
• Monitoring the status of crops;
• Monitoring of equipment;
• Agronomic experiments;
• Precision farming;
• Weight.

For the implementation of the project, the group raised a grant in the amount of 536 million rubles from the Russian Information Technology Development Fund (RFRIT). This project was included in the list of especially significant and included in the roadmap "New Industrial Software," approved by the Government Commission on Digital Development, the use of information technologies to improve the quality of life and business conditions. Financing is carried out within the framework of the federal project "Digital Technologies" of the national program "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation."^[1]
