The project on creation of modern telecommunication infrastructure of Transaero airline in its multi-storey office complex at Domodedovo Airport came to the end. The I-Teco company became the contractor of the project. Essentially new concept of providing all range of telecommunication services for divisions of the customer is implemented. Need of this solution was determined by strategic objectives of Transaero and its priorities in the field of information technology development.
Advantages of the project
Thanks to this project the staff of new office of airline in Domodedovo was completely provided with all necessary telecommunication services: wire and wireless line access to information resources and the Internet, corporate telephone communication with a unified plan of numbering, a possibility of the organization of audio-and video conferences, joint work with documents in all points of operating of the company.
The high level of availability of services and complete fault tolerance of network – the main advantages of the telecommunication infrastructure created by I-Teco. It was succeeded to confirm it at the end of December, 2010 during disconnection of a complex of Domodedovo from power supply. The system of regular power supply unrolled based on the equipment APC by Schneider Electric allowed the system of Transaero to work more than 7 hours that gave the chance correctly to switch-off all devices, and at recovery of work of substations to resume all processes immediately.
Virtualization of network system also provides uninterrupted operation of communications. Two high-performance switches of Cisco company are logically combined with the help of Virtual Switching System (VSS) technology. As a result at shutdown of power supply or failure of one of devices all services remain are available. In addition the airline received convenient control of both switches from a uniform point and a possibility of flexible scaling of system performance.
All key communication channels were in addition repeatedly reserved. For example, office spaces of airline are provided with an absolute covering a wireless LAN. At failure of this or that point of Wi-fi there is an automatic reconnection of subscribers to network and the continued access of employees and clients of the company to information resources is provided.
Possibilities of communication of staff of the company are not limited to their jobs. Consolidation of all types of communication (telephone, voice and e-mail, video conference, etc.) in the system of unified communications Cisco allows them to communicate and conduct joint work irrespective of their location, including using mobile applications. Full redundancy of the IP telephony system provides a cluster from the failsafe Cisco servers. Connection to a telephone network is performed through two independent operators.
"New telecommunication infrastructure of Transaero airline at Domodedovo Airport became a necessary component of the organization of business processes of the company. The implemented solutions allow not only to reach the new quality level of corporate communications, but also to raise the overall level of information security", – the Head of Department of information security of Transaero Gavrenkov Sergey emphasized.
"In extremely short time we performed all complex of works on design of systems, to supply of equipment, installation, setup, testing and trial operation of telecommunication infrastructure with transfer to commercial operation. The LAN of new office contains more than 1000 ports, BLVS is constructed on six floors with a total area about 8000 square meters. Possibilities of the constructed infrastructure will allow Transaero to develop telecommunication services without deep upgrade for a long time. However the main task of the project – deep integration of geographically distributed objects of the customer that is an unconditional factor of competitiveness in the current realities of business", – the director of the department of networks and telecommunications of I-Teco company Parfyonov Konstantin reported.
The project is complete in April, 2011.
2013: IT infrastructure at head office
Transaero and I-Teco completed the project on creation of telecom infrastructure of office of airline, the press service of integrator reported on August 22, 2013.
Project Background
Business requirements of the company assumed expansion of functionality of corporate telephony and creation of a subsystem of an audio-and video conferencing. The solution on the basis of Cisco TelePresence with a possibility of the organization of conferences, including planning of meetings was for this purpose selected.
During design several options of the physical location of the capital server hardware for additional services of the company, such as VKS and audioconference communication which as a result were taken out on the platform with the greatest degree of protection, fault tolerance and capacity of external lines – the largest DPC TrustInfo were studied.
The main objective of the project - creation of the failsafe multiservice communication system of head office of airline in the new building in Zubovskom Boulevard, in Moscow, and other administrative offices "Transaero" and also integration with existing solutions of a video conferencing, the systems of the integrated security and a number of mobile solutions.
Project Progress
The failsafe core of network which is responsible for integration of all architectural modules (wire a LAN, wireless a LAN, connection to KSPD and the Internet) which is implemented based on the high-performance modular Cisco switches Catalyst 6500 united in a uniform virtual cluster and 1.4 Tbit providing the maximum capacity / c is created. The module of connection to KSPD provides the high-speed reserved access to corporate DPC and remote offices of the customer. The high level of security at connection to the Internet and also the organization of the selected protected segments of a local network will be reached due to the application of a failover cluster of firewalling of Cisco FWSM implemented physically in the form of modules of switches of a core and functionally separated into three virtual independent devices (context) of different function.
As a subsystem of telephony the solution of creation of the distributed cluster on the basis of Cisco Unified Communications Manager is selected. Feature of the created system of corporate telephony - mutual fault tolerance between platforms: subscribers are physically not tied to the specific platform and in case of failure of the local server of call processing will automatically be re-registered on the next available server.
