The German company Infineon, the supplier of chips, summed up the results of use of the specialized solution of ARIS from the company IDS Scheer company developed for management in the field of GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance). According to the company, the solution allowed it to reduce finance and time expenditure by providing requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley law (SOX).
The company uses the solution of ARIS for management in the field of GRC since April, 2006, having integrated into it the existing structure of business processes. It provides storage of the integrated documentation and visualization of all business processes, supporting a possibility of their approval and standardization.
The solution allowed the company to organize 1347 checks on compliance to the Sarbanes-Oxley law within which 5765 separate control examples, 22 legal bodies and about 300 controllers were involved. And if in the first year of "manual" audit in the company the same problem was solved by a project team from 120 people, then using the solution of ARIS with it could cope by forces only of four employees. Internal assessment of a full compliance to the Sarbanes-Oxley law which was reached by the end 2005/2006 fiscal years was then is confirmed by the external auditor.
