Project date: 2025/03

VTB Bank and the CROC IT company received an injunction against the use of Inline Pro billing software after recognizing it as counterfeit. This decision was made by the Court of Appeal in February 2025, indicating that the rights to this system belong to Barsum. According to the case file, the court qualified the software as illegally distributed and prohibited its further operation by both structures. Information about the verdict is published in the file of arbitration cases. This became known at the end of March 2025.

According to RBC, the legal dispute began back in 2019, when the Barsum IT company filed a lawsuit against Inline Pro, accusing it of violating its exclusive right to the Mentol Pro program. The company claimed that the software was derived from the Barsum software suite.

Billing is an automated system of accounting for the services provided, their charging and billing for payment. According to TAdviser analytical data, the leaders in the number of billing system implementations in 2024 were companies, Inferit,, and Nexign. ORS Pravo Tech

The history of conflict between companies is deeply rooted. Inline Pro was created by former Barsum employees in 2017. The year before (2016), Rospatent registered the Barsum Bill Works Billing and Quality Control System program for Barsum. In May 2017, the agency registered the Mentol Pro program for Inline Pro.

In 2019, Barsum appealed to the court with a demand to declare the registration of the Mentol Pro program invalid, prohibit its use and recover compensation from Inline Pro in the amount of ₽2 million. The company said that Inline Pro took advantage of the official position of former Barsum employees who had access to the source code of Barsum software and illegally redesigned it to create Mentol Pro.

The legal battle lasted several years with varying success. In 2020, the court allowed Inline Pro to continue using the software, recognizing it as an independent product. However, in 2022, this decision was overturned, and Inline Pro was banned from using and distributing the program. After that, "Barsum" filed lawsuits against VTB and "Krok" as the supplier of the controversial program.[1]
