Cognitive Technologies will develop technologies of pilotless driving of agricultural machinery

On January 15, 2016 signing of the memorandum between the Innopolis SEZ (Republic of Tatarstan) and the Russian company Cognitive Technologies of creation based on Innopolis of "smart" agroholding "Agropolis" took place. The president of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov participated in a ceremony of signing of the document.
68 million rubles were selected for implementation of a technology part of the project by the state, on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. In 2015 Cognitive Technologies received the subsidies of the ministry within within implementation of the federal target program "Research and Development in the Priority Directions of Development of a Scientific and Technology Complex of Russia for 2014-2020" approved by the order of the Government of the Russian Federation of November 28, 2013 No. 1096. According to conditions of subsidizing, 68 million more rubles two of its will enter to the project in equal shares on 50% others the participant — the developer of models of Rostselmash agricultural machinery and an argoholding of the Republic of Tatarstan "Union-agro". In 2016 it is supposed to spend 380 million rubles[1] on project implementation[2].
To the project Tatneft which regularly supports the hi-tech and socially oriented projects implemented in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan also shows interest noted in the company.
Process of creation of the enterprises of "smart" agrobusiness, according to experts (Beecham Research, Rabobank, World Bank, etc.), is a world trend. Its relevance is caused as a population scale-up problem in the world and climate changes, and specified by general transition of world economy to technologies of the 6th technology way which basis is formed in many respects by developments of artificial intelligence and the robotic systems in Cognitive Technologies.
According to Olga Uskova, "creation of hi-tech clusters in competitive sectors of economy is intended not only to promote the solution of the import substitution program in Russia, but also to give the chance to a release of domestic projects which basis is formed by technology developments of the 6th technology way, on global markets. Among priority — regions of Latin America, Central Asia and also developing countries. We expect that the amount of investments into Agropolis in the next 5 years will be one billion p15 order".
Cognitive Technologies within the project is responsible for development of technologies of pilotless driving of agricultural machinery based on technologies of computer vision, creation of the industrial control system and also an end-to-end information system of monitoring of agricultural machinery and crops, including monitoring of processing of fields and conditions of growth of a harvest. Its share in total investment will make 1.6 billion rubles.

Project participants assume that the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan will become the pilot region for project implementation of "smart" agrobusiness and its results will be scaled on other subjects of the Russian Federation.
The most important feature of the Agropolis project is the possibility of real work in the Russian conditions which are defined by severe climate on the most part of the territory of our country lowered by productivity of soils, difficult logistics, etc. that assumes creation of more powerful mathematical apparatus in comparison with solutions of many known foreign companies specified in Cognitive Technologies.
Among the agrotechnologies capable to compete to foreign analogs on equal terms, project participants noted: the systems of off-line control by the agricultural processing and harvest machinery; systems of automated management of technology processing of soils and harvesting; systems of remote monitoring of a status of growth and centers of defeat by wreckers of crops; an analysis system and forecasting of an agrotechnology of crop production based on big data technologies; the integrated automated control systems for agricultural production.
Implementation of such technologies relating to the sixth technology way, according to project participants, is capable to provide the necessary level of efficiency of an agrotechnology and processing, rational use of materials and fertilizers. According to representatives of Cognitive Technologies, at rather deep study of the project in terms of the directions (plant species, animals, processing products), technologies and economy of business he is capable to show the results comparable on efficiency with the world companies and to become base for scaling of farming in other regions of our country.
