T-Platforms will be constructed by a computing cluster for Institute of Technology of supersolid and new carbon materials.
Solution
The T-Platforms company signed the delivery contract of the high-performance computer system by request of Institute of Technology of supersolid and new carbon materials (TISNUM). T-Platforms the customer will use the solution for modeling of structures of new materials with unique properties.
Background
Workflows of institute traditionally include exploratory researches, carrying out experienced and technology and developmental works, certification and certification of constructive materials and products and also promotion of products on the market. For reduction of terms of carrying out these works and increase in efficiency of the enterprise by the management of TISNUM the decision on carrying out a part of research works based on the modern hardware-software computer system was made. After assessment of the systems of the leading world developers of HPC-solutions presented at the market, preference was given to the computer system of T-Platforms company.
Details
Basis of a cluster, Tflops with a peak capacity of 2.94, the T-Blade V205S system including 10 computing nodes and 1,280 GB of RAM made. Thanks to distribution of memory by 4 GB to a core, a cluster allows to make resource-intensive calculations whose processes are extremely exacting to memory. Application of interconnect of QDR Infiniband will allow to reach the maximum speed of interprocessor exchange. The T-Platforms company will execute the project completely "on a turn-key basis", including implementation of the computer system in the customer's infrastructure, development and construction of engineering infrastructure and also installation of a system of regular power supply of a cluster. Besides, under the terms of the contract the company will deliver to the customer packets of a specialized software for modeling of structures of new materials and the analysis of their properties.
