2025: BI Platform Implementation

DataRu Consulting completed the import substitution project of Western technologies and introduced a business intelligence platform based on open source products for the insurance broker Remind. During the project, Apache Superset, ClickHouse, Apache Airflow solutions were used, and integration with the company's internal systems was implemented. DataRu announced this on October 3, 2025.

Within the framework of the project, the task was to build a BI system that will completely replace Western solutions, but at the same time maintain compliance with high performance requirements and ensure the possibility of further scaling based on Russian and open technologies.

The project started with a survey of the current architecture and formalization of the customer's requirements. The pilot phase tested the performance of ClickHouse and implemented the first visualizations in Superset. After confirming the hypotheses, the team moved on to industrial implementation: ETL processes were developed at Airflow, a data warehouse was created with automated daily loading, storefronts for reporting and dashboards integrated with Active Directory were built. A role-based access model has been implemented that allows you to centrally manage the security of a brokerage company.

The project was completed without complaints and on time due to the high quality of work and a well-thought-out import-independent architecture, which minimized the cost of improvements. DataRu Consulting paid special attention to the criteria of reliability, performance and ease of maintenance.

As a result of the completed work, the insurance broker Remind has introduced a platform that will become the foundation for the development and application of a data-driven approach in business management.

The system has already proven its effectiveness. We plan to continue cooperation with DataRu Consulting and develop the platform: expand the number of connected sources, introduce predictive analytics, develop storefronts for management reporting and launch mobile access to BI panels, - commented Stanislav Nikonov, Director of the Information Technology and Systems Department of the insurance broker Remind.

We are pleased that the project for Remind was completed on time and performed well. The use of an open source stack made it possible to create a productive and scalable solution that has become an alternative to Western BI products, "added Kristina Gribovskaya, Director of DataRu Consulting.
