Medskan clinics began to use AI agents that explain the test results to patients in an understandable language

Customers: Medskan (network of clinics)

Pharmaceuticals, Medicine, Healthcare

Contractors: Sberbank
Product: Sberbank: GigaChat (GigaChat)

Project date: 2025/11

The Medskan group of companies has introduced an AI agent to decipher the results of medical tests. The digital assistant explains the results in understandable language, identifies key deviations and advises which specialized specialist needs to be contacted. The solution was created on the basis of the Russian-language generative language model "GigaChat." This was announced on November 21, 2025 by the press service of the Medskan Group of Companies.

The project was launched jointly with Sberbank. The Moscow Bank of Sberbank and the Medskan Group of Companies signed an agreement on technological cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence. The partnership aims to develop digital services in healthcare. The use of AI in medicine makes it possible to increase the availability of consultations.

German Barg, Chairman of the Moscow Bank of Sberbank, noted that the solution is being created on the basis of GigaChat. He stressed that this is one of the few language models in the world that have successfully passed the professional medical exam. The ability of the model to work with medical terminology is critical to the accuracy of the interpretation of analyses.

GigaChat is trained on a large array of medical data. The model understands the values of laboratory indicators, their normal ranges and possible deviations. Algorithms compare patient-specific results with reference values. Based on the analysis, an understandable explanation is formed.

The AI agent performs several functions. He explains the results of the tests in understandable language, translating medical terminology into available formulations. Patients without medical education often do not understand the value of the indicators. The agent makes medical information available to everyone.

The system highlights key deviations from the norm. Not all deviations are equally important. The agent focuses the patient's attention on meaningful changes. If necessary, he advises which specialized specialist to contact. This helps patients navigate their next steps.[1]
