NtechLab, within the framework of the regional improvement program "My Yard," has introduced a video surveillance system based on artificial intelligence in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug), capable of recognizing the faces and silhouettes of wanted people. This became known on March 20, 2025. At the end of 2024, the number of street crimes in the region decreased by 25%.

The system uses cameras equipped with NtechLab algorithms that monitor the safety of courtyards and driveways. Artificial intelligence is able not only to identify wanted persons, but also to restore the course of events in the event of crimes thanks to archival records.

Currently, about 5 thousand cameras are connected to the system. The technology is actively used by law enforcement agencies to maintain order, prevent crimes and search for missing people.

NtechLab CEO Alexei Palamarchuk noted that video analytics provides a new level of security for residents, creating comfortable zones in the courtyards where children walk and cars park. Artificial intelligence helps to quickly respond to the appearance of wanted persons and analyze archival records.

Director of the Regional Security Department of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Sergey Neustroev stressed that security is one of the key priorities of the regional government. "We are working hard to ensure that Yamal is one of the safest regions in the country," he said.

The introduction of a video surveillance system is carried out on behalf of the Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Artyukhov as part of the development of a unified video surveillance system in the region. According to the results of the system in 2024, artificial intelligence helped solve every tenth crime in the district.[1]
