The largest regional generating company Mosenergo"" in early December 2024 announced the start software Microsoft of the transition of the commercial electricity metering system from domestic counterparts. ₽29,4 million has been allocated for the implementation of the project.
According to CNews, the company plans to replace the Windows operating system and Microsoft SQL DBMS with the Russian distribution of Linux "Red OS" and PostgreSQL. The choice of the contractor will take place on December 13, 2024 through an electronic auction, applications are accepted until December 5.
The project of modernization of the Telescope + system will be implemented in four stages: research and planning of migration, implementation of the target platform, implementation of the transition and completion of the project. Hardware and software complexes are located in three Moscow data centers connected by high-speed communication channels.
The project executor must have experience in implementing the Telescope + system from NPF Proryv CJSC and installing Postgres Pro and Red OS software. An important requirement is to keep all current business processes and interfaces between the AIIS KUE system and other IT systems of the company operational.

By December 2024, Mosenergo power plants provide more than 60% of the Moscow region's electricity and meet over 70% of the capital's heat needs. The company has 15 power plants with an installed electric capacity of 13 thousand. MW and thermal capacity of 42.9 thousand Gcal/h, as well as district, quarterly heat and electric power supply stations.[1]
