Content

On November 12, 2015 it became known of system implementation of automated design of Eplan Pro Panel in Iokogava Elektrik company of the CIS. Integrator Eplan company[1].

Project Tasks

In the course of work on projects, Iokogava Elektrik of the CIS AutoCAD Microsoft Visio softwares came to the companies to understanding of need of replacement of products and on profile. Use AutoCAD for electrotechnical design was recognized inexpedient - from electrotechnical SAPRA other functions are required:

  • automatic numbering of elements,
  • numbering of jumpers,
  • numbering of wires,
  • verification of electric circuits on correctness of connection of elements,
  • optimization of tables of connections, etc.

This functionality is unavailable in the drawing instrument intended for mechanical design.

In a result the decision on implementation of specialized software is made. At the end of 2011 created the TsUIP design group (Command center and Executions of Projects), for release of engineers on automation from specific work on creation of design documentation and to its concentration in uniform division. The group acts as a part of technical control of Yokogawa Electric.

Since then the company works in Eplan.

Project Progress

One designer releases 3-4 cabinets a day if the complete set non-standard – is required 2-3 days on one cabinet. EPLAN Pro Panel allows to facilitate 3D - modeling of cabinets in comparison with other existing CAD systems by means of consolidation in uniform library of graphic 3D models with electrotechnical, mass and dimensional and even commercial data.

EPLAN allows not to draw geometrical figures, and to set finished products on the scheme, or in a paper space of three-dimensional modeling – the designer's time for development is so saved. Output documentation, due to use of three-dimensional models, as much as possible corresponds to the real equipment, and drawings turn out absolutely realistic.

Not the latest factor allowing to reach standardization of design in group is the centralized approach to storage of libraries of products, macroes, forms. Unification of corporate style in execution of documentation is reached. By experience with other CAD in case of need to make changes it is necessary to carry out configuring on each computer and if it is required to make changes in view of updating of the regulating documentation, it is necessary to tear off the designer from production process. EPLAN allows to do it by change of templates in applied libraries.

Project Results

By CAD of Eplan it was coordinated to policy of cabinets prototypes. Development of each cabinet from scratch - labor-intensive process, but existence of templates and ready practices on types of cabinets allows to release a large number of design documentation. In 2 months in the presence of a prototype it turns out to release 200-300 documentation kits. In that case if the real project is subject to upgrade – the group in day can release 10-15 albums of KD on cabinets.
