SAP CIS has the first "cloud" project, the client – the Kiev clinic

SAP CIS implemented the first project on implementing solution of SAP on a subscription (SAP Subscription Hosting) which is widely announced a floor a year ago. The Kiev medical clinic iqClinic became the client of service. The international company KM Ware which is the first partner of SAP in Ukraine on provision of services of SAP in "cloud" became the partner in implementation of the project.

According to Rostislav Valikhnovsky, the president of iqClinic and the honored doctor of Ukraine, in process of business development the clinic needed the solution allowing to centralize all business management of divisions and to give information support when rendering services at higher level.

When choosing the supplier for ERP offers of local producers discarded "because of fragmentariness of solutions". The management of iqClinic looked for the localized system from global manufacturer, suitable for medium business both optimal on price relation and qualities. It is known that, in particular, platforms of 1C and Microsoft were considered, but as a result a choice was made for benefit of lease of SAP.

The project in iqClinic was implemented in September-October, 2011. In a basis of a system which was selected by clinic the industry solution of Health2People based on SAP All-in-One is necessary. It represents a set of the integrated software applications - from call of the center to an internal system of accounting of financial transactions. So within clinic a common information space was created.

In clinic four workplaces of SAP ERP and 20 more spaces for medical office are set. According to Rostislav Valikhnovsky, the clinic received exactly that functionality which is necessary for it at this stage of development. "We know that we if necessary will be able to involve more systems capabilities without additional efforts on its implementation: we will just expand the list of options for which we enter a subscription fee", - he added.

As visible effects of use of SAP in iqClinic call optimization of purchases of medicines, receiving full control over the relations with patients and suppliers, reduction of receivables and payables and others.

In plans of iqClinic - expansion of opportunities of the implemented solution due to creation of a system of web services and its integration into the implemented solution and also replication of a system on regional divisions of the company and its partners.

At the time of the publication of article of SAP CIS and iqClinic did not answer a question concerning the cost of a subscription and as far as it is more profitable economically in comparison with traditional deployment of SAP ERP.

However some calculations can be made on the basis of the data which are in open access. So, the cost of ERP solutions based on SAP All-in-One usually fluctuates from 160 to 390 thousand euros, the term of implementation is 3-5 months.

As for subscription cost, it fluctuates depending on the partner and proposed solution. By the way, partners at SAP Subscription Hosting now five, and in SAP CIS note that the number of persons interested to participate in the program increases. In addition to KM Ware mentioned above is a sheaf BI Partneri-Teco//Yota, "Lanit", Softline and "T-Systems CIS".

KM Ware proposes the SAP solution Health2people, the rent makes about 10 euros for the user a day, implementation on average costs 75 thousand euros, project duration on average three months. For comparison, Lanit offers service based on HCM SAP ERP at the price from 9 euros a day for the user, his installation will cost 70 thousand euros.

Softline offers service based on SAP All-in-One at the price of 100 thousand euros for the project and a license fee from 6 euros for the user a day. More expensively the project is necessary at T of Sistems, 300 thousand euros, but there and the solution is more difficult - for production companies based on SAP ERP, a subscription – from 7 euros a day on the person.

The monthly cost of a subscription includes the license of SAP, the database, support of software, setup of network, the equipment and infrastructure, connection and system management.

TCO by consideration only of the cost of licenses for traditional deployment makes 60 thousand euros a year, at lease – less than 20 thousand euros. At longer terms of ownership the proportion practically remains with a trend of rise in price of the TCO solution on a subscription in process of growth of time of operation. So, within four years ownership at traditional deployment costs nearly 100 thousand euro, at lease - about 50 thousand.

So far in SAP CIS do not report whether other projects on SAP Subscription Hosting and in what industries are kept.
