RSC Energia completed upgrade of a cluster solution for a PDM system

On April 15, 2016 the Pro Technologies company announced project completion on creation of an optimization cluster solution for Windchill in JSC RSC Energia.

Project Tasks

The Windchill system as the tool for management of engineering data and projects of product development in version 8.0, later 9.1 acted on the enterprise.

Action with participation of RSC Energia (2015)

Version 10 of the software is more reliable and convenient in use and updating of the Windchill system from version 9.1 to version 10.2 and optimization of a cluster solution in corporate virtual infrastructure of RSC Energia taking into account opportunities of Windchill 10.2 became a project objective.

Project Progress

Within the project the complex of works is executed:

1. Preparation of works of the project
2. Working off of the procedure of updating
3. Updating of a regular system
4. Training of specialized personnel of the IT direction in Windchill 10.2
5. Development of an electronic course of the user "Transition of Windchill 9.1 to Windchill 10.2" (textbook and tests)
6. Carrying out technical and functional advices:

• On system administration of Windchill 10.2 (a standard rate)
• On business administration of Windchill 10.2 (a standard rate)
• On features of setup and customization of Windchill 10.2
• On transition of users from Windchill 9.x to Windchill 10.x.
• Conducting tests.

When updating Windchill data and settings of a system are updated.

The architecture of a cluster solution for Windchill 10.2 is created in disaster-proof virtual infrastructure of JSC RSC Energia.

In 2016 the enterprise switched to work in the version of system 10.2.
