"JV Business of carat" unrolled "a private cloud" running Microsoft Hyper-V

Asteros companies and JV BIZNES KAR unrolled "a private cloud" running Microsoft Hyper-V. It allowed to reduce costs for support of business applications of the car dealer and to increase quality of the services provided to 900 employees of the company.

JV BIZNES KAR owns the network, largest in Russia, on sale and service of cars of the Toyota and Lexus brands. Fast business development of the company requires an effective and first line support from IT. However the difficult server framework of the company complicated management of information environment. Creation of "a private cloud" in which a part of business services should be placed became a way out. Asteros became the partner of the project.

Considerable part of IT infrastructure of the car dealer is implemented on technologies of Microsoft. Therefore as the virtualization platform the product Microsoft Hyper-V was selected.

Specialists of Asteros and JV BIZNES KAR unrolled the Microsoft Hyper-V platform on the 12th blade-HP servers. Management and maintenance of virtual environment is made using products of the Microsoft System Center family – Virtual Machine Manager and Operations Manager. In the created "cloud" components of a monitoring system and management of virtual environment are integrated, there is an automatic evaluation of capacity of servers and runtime allocation of loading between them.

Today in virtual environment several infrastructure and test services which use about 900 employees of the car dealer are started. In the long term the customer will be able to transfer to "cloud" all systems, critical for business, on the Microsoft platform.

On the one hand, we managed to increase reliability of systems and services due to virtualization. And with another – we received absolutely other level of status monitoring of IT resources.
