Kartontara Ltd optimizes logistic process

January 15, 2015.^[1] For optimization of production and warehouse logistics of Kartontara Ltd needed the hardware solution which would lower operating costs, allowed to automate accounting and increased efficiency of personnel. Therefore the company purchased 12 protected DESTEN CyberBook T850 tablet computers based on the Intel processors Core i5. It helped to implement a system of accounting of products on all way from a production line to a warehouse. Devices are used on auto-loaders together with class AR barcode Bluetooth scanners, allowing to obtain data from distance of 10 m. Operators of loaders read out the code, and on the tablet screen the complete information about products is output at once, including the warehouse section address where it should be placed.

DESTEN CyberBook T850 became reliable assistants to staff of the company. It is convenient to work for them not only, but also it is safe. Shock-resistant and vibration-proof, they conform to the international standard MIL-810G and maintain tough temperature range from −20 °C to +60 °C. Devices have the touch screen of 10.4 inches of big brightness and "hot" control buttons for comfortable use of the device. The Intel processors Core i5 provide the high performance and long service life of devices. Tablets are equipped with RS232 interface, full-size USB3.0, mini-USB, the controller of a local network of 10/100/1000 Mbps, the slot of PCMCIA Type II, the smart card reader and SD standard flash cards. Support of wireless Wi-fi connection 802.11a/b/g/n is implemented using the 2-band Intel Advanced-N 6235 adapter. There is Class 1 which is built in by Bluetooth 4.0. Long independent operation is ensured by two li-ion cells with a capacity of 5200 mAh which can be replaced in the "hot" mode. The class of protection IP65 provides reliable protection against dust and water jets under pressure that allows to sustain work under trying conditions.

As a result of equipment of warehouses DESTEN CyberBook T850 tablets there was an opportunity to keep electronic account and document flow directly in a warehouse and to quickly identify products for effective cargo transfer. Kartontara continues optimization of workflow and in the near future is going to equip with devices on the Intel Core i5 platform additional jobs.
