Content


In connection with the development the Kirov Plant holding faced typical problems of the fast-growing companies, such as:

  • impossibility of quick search of necessary documents,
  • inefficient use of working time by employees,
  • lack of the uniform tool for publications of corporate news,
  • slow adaptation of new employees,
  • lack of access to corporate information outside a workplace.

Purposes and tasks projects

The purposes of implementation of a corporate portal were:

  • consolidation of information in unified information environment, with a possibility of further development of IT services and business process automation of the company;
  • the organization of joint work over documents, with support of version control, search, categorizations;
  • operational informing employees on news and events of holding, using elements of the publication, viewing and search of necessary content;
  • risk minimization of losses of information and documents.

Solution

The Conteq system integrator suggested to implement this project on the Microsoft SharePoint platform, having used own boxed solution Conteq IntraSpace. Creation of the portal allowed to integrate and structure information resources of the company, to optimize communicating processes between employees at office, to automate processes of control of execution of instructions of the management and as a result to create a common information space.

Project Results

Project deliverables became:

  • Increase in access efficiency and search of the necessary normative, organizational and administrative, contractual and other not structured business information in work – creation and maintenance in current status of "knowledge base".
  • Reduction of losses of effective working time due to creation: the uniform personified point of entry in corporate business systems, the multidimensional environment of the reporting for heads of different level (productions, finance, personnel and so forth) for operational acceptance of management decisions, automation of routine corporate business processes (for example, ABCD assessment, distance learning, etc.) and interactive space of collective work on projects.

Besides, the management of holding noted quality improvement and speeds of adaptation of new employees due to creation of the formalized procedures of acquaintance to business and processes of holding and also quality improvement of sales at the expense of a possibility of the addressing the protected marketing information worldwide.
