2024: Move to "1C: Trade Management 8"
Cosmos Group"" switched from to ON Microsoft a software product. 1C: Trade Management 8"" This was IT constant announced on October 23, 2024.
KOMOS GROUP is one of the agricultural holdings with a full production and sales cycle. Within the holding there are 2 structural and organizational units that provide trade and sales activities.
Previously, accounting trade for operations was carried out in an outdated information system based on Microsoft Axapta. However, internal competencies about the methodological and technical requirements and features of her work were lost. Subsequently, the use of a foreign one software in the key business processes ones began to bear the risks of its refusal in connection with the unfriendly actions of foreign companies. On the one hand, this caused a threat to its functioning, on the other, it contradicted the possibility of its further development under the needs of business and changes in legislation (GIS requirements,,). The key business goal was to build effective processes of the sales and distribution supply chain and scale up the sales activities of the holding, which produces food products. To do this, the company's management set the task of introducing software that will allow:
- unify the trading logistic business processes, accounting and management structure of the holding and its managed companies in a rapidly developing and "accelerating" market;
- increase the efficiency and formation of competitive advantages, including the consolidation of individual small manufacturers of products that are not part of the holding and do not have experience and concluded contracts for the supply of products to retail chains of a federal scale;
- Unify software platforms with to be integrated retail network information systems to optimize and reduce the time spent on the food supply chain.
The core of the software complex being implemented was the 1C: Trade Management 8 software product. To ensure the operation of the complex solution, integration with existing information systems is provided, as well as the purchase, installation and configuration of server capacity.
Requirements for the system: up to 500 simultaneous users with work in 24/7 mode, a scheduled window of 1 hours per day 4 day per week.
What they did:
- 6 automated warehouse complexes from 2 to 6 warehouses each
- 408 integration flows with other enterprise IT systems
- 211 modified type forms, 95 documents, 50 reference books, 133 general modules
Within the framework of the project, a centralized sales system for the holding's meat products was built, and the basis for centralized trading activities of the entire holding was laid. Plans for the further development of the system provide for its replication to other commodity groups produced by the holding.
The throughput of the system in terms of functional improvements that are included in each new release has increased by 2 times.
Significantly simplifying the implementation of integration flows with adjacent systems. The current needs of the enterprise in terms of organizing the IT landscape imply an increase in the number of integration flows, and the old foreign system recently looked more and more like a suitcase without a handle and did not allow them to be implemented quickly.
A multiple reduction in the cost of maintaining the system (support for a foreign solution, in which accounting was previously carried out, in terms of the cost of the hour was closer to the design than to the operating team, while improvements were made more slowly, as indicated in paragraph 1).
Improve the quality of regulatory reference information. Within the framework of the project, large-scale work was carried out to update the NSI, which led to a significant increase in its quality.
Improve system resiliency to completely eliminate failures. Previously, failures in the system with a forced shutdown of shipments occurred at least once a month. The implementation of 1C: Trade Management allowed to reduce the number of failures to zero.
Modularity of the system, the ability to place functional subsystems into separate bases. The old system at the time of the start of the project was already so sacastomized that it was almost impossible to understand its architecture.
