Kyivstar continues the project of technical support of the computer system in the outsourcing mode

Jet Infosystems announced on December 4, 2012 the first results of the project of technical support of the computer system of the operator of telecommunications Kyivstar.

Objectives

Main objectives of the existing project: the continuity of functioning of information systems, a guarantee of access to the IC from business users, minimization of quantity of non-staff situations and fast recovery after failures.

The project started with consolidation and optimization of IT assets. Specialists of integrator carried out the analysis of information systems, estimated their performance, revealed threshold loadings, existence of potential risks. Based on intermediate testing recommendations which formed the basis of upgrade of a complex for providing required indicators are formulated.

Job

The selected duty shift of qualified specialists in service UNIX/ Linux- systems, DWH and SRK, DBMS Oracle performs permanent monitoring of operability of the equipment and software. If necessary experts of the highest qualification are quickly connected to works. Personal service manager is responsible for the general control of the project and helps with permission of operational or difficult situations.

Results and digits

In total in the project of support more than three hundred items of equipment: difficult server complexes of Oracle company, high-performance storage systems of Hitachi Data Systems, Brocade routers and also a specialized software, including Oracle DBMS. In addition to maintenance of systems in operating state according to the agreement - SLA, Jet Infosystems company is responsible for recovery of the equipment and software after accidents, including vendor interaction at all stages of failure handling.

The Jet Infosystems company is selected from quality of the contractor of the project by such criteria as the experience of service of the large multivendor systems confirmed with official letters of customers and vendors, existence of the developed business processes of service, personnel of necessary qualification, etc.
