The FGC Leader starts the first project using BIM

In August of this year the FGC Leader will begin to build the first LDC, all body in which will be designed using BIM. In total within the project intend to build 365 thousand sq.m of the real estate, including 220 thousand sq.m of housing. It is going to build five apartment houses and also social and commercial infrastructure (including school and two kindergartens). Implementation terms — 2026.

The FGC Leader announced transition to technologies of information modeling in design in April of this year. It was reported that the first buildings built using BIM will appear in LDC Scandinavian. "The main advantages of this technology are lack of errors in drawings, specifications, estimates and a possibility of automatic creation of the high-quality complex design estimates. We expect that at this stage it will allow us to reduce by 30 — 40% costs for elimination and identification of errors in design process" — the head of project management of the developer Ivan Bazhin noted then.
