The institute of design Lenaeroproyekt with assistance of the company integrator cut a set-up time of the project documentation by half

The PSS St. Petersburg engineering and consulting company helped JSC PI i Scientific Research Institute VT Lenaeroproyekt with use of the solution AutoCAD Civil 3D. The feature of the project is that specialists of the company contractor developed an individual training course for employees of the customer who allowed in parallel training to execute the project on reconstruction of the airport using 3D - modeling, PSS company reported on October 9, 2012.

Start

Within the project of reconstruction of infrastructure of airfield Krasnodar Airport specialists Lenaeroproyekt performed project works and created the work documentation (WD) on reconstruction of the existing coverings of a runway, a trunk taxi track and the passenger platform, on construction of a new taxi track of airfield. Besides, the group of specialists whom designers of airfields, researchers and designers of related departments were among designs covering design elements, engineering networks and communications. The area of vertical layout of all coverings was about 70 hectares, the extent of communications of VDS about 19 km.

"In design time and the embodiments of objects in reality not seldom it is necessary to adjust the project solution at different stages that involves long terms of rerelease of RD. With respect thereto we made the decision on implementation of modern means 3D - design. Considerable reduction of terms of release of the project documentation (PD) and also operational entering of corrections into the project with the minimum labor costs became result", - the CEO of JSC PI i Scientific Research Institute VT Lenaeroproyekt, PhD in Technological Sciences Alexander Podkin noted.

Objectives

The main objective of the project - process optimization of design with the smallest terms of release of the project and work documentation (PRD). Also at design it is necessary to consider dismantling and alignment of the existing covering, dismantling and new construction of roadsides, the structure of vodostochno-drainage network with observance of all regulatory requirements.

Solution

For accomplishment of assigned tasks the software package AutoCAD Civil 3D is selected. Implementation of this solution is implemented thanks to training and consultations of experts of PSS company.

Process of implementation 3D - design at the Customer was carried out in parallel with personnel training by experts of PSS that allowed to save time.

Such method allows our customer to execute in the shortest possible time the project on reconstruction of airfield Krasnodar Airport using 3D - modeling", - Konstantin Biktimirov, the head of department of a CAD of PSS company noted.

Result

As a result of the carried-out work on training of specialists in three-dimensional design, terms of preparation of RD of reconstruction of airfield Krasnodar Airport were cut by half, in comparison with similar works in 2D - design.
