Lenenergo and Siemens signed the agreement on cooperation

In June, 2016 within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum PJSC Lenenergo and Siemens company signed the Agreement on cooperation. The parties agreed to interact in the field of implementation of the complex project on upgrade of the electric networks of St. Petersburg. The signatures under the document were appended by the Acting as the CEO of PJSC Lenenergo Roman Berdnikov and the President of Siemens in Russia Dietrich Moeller.

The agreement provides the analysis of the existing electric network and the subsequent possibility of formation of the program of upgrade of an electric grid of the Central district of the city with implementation of the Smart Grid elements. With respect thereto it is decided to develop the scenario of transition of the existing network to the level of intellectual. Specialists will develop offers on optimization of the scheme and a management structure of power grid economy for the purpose of minimization of cost of its service.

Partners intend to use modern technologies and solutions in the field of automation of networks, supervisory control, intellectual accounting and use of the equipment of Siemens for equipment of the centers of a power supply. Among the priority purposes there are implementations of the Agreement - a possibility of new technology accessions, minimization of time of detection and elimination of accidents in networks, decrease in technical and commercial losses.
