2025: Automation of Non-Commercial Procurement
Lenta transfers more than 80 percent of non-commercial purchases to the SRM account system. Thanks to the transition, the company will reduce the timing of tenders. The company announced this on May 30, 2025.
Prior to the implementation of the solution, the company's specialists could not quickly obtain reliable data on non-commercial purchases for making correct management decisions. In addition, there was a large number of low-value purchases, which was reflected in the expenses of the trading network. Therefore, Lenta began to automate the process by implementing the SRM accounting system, which covers all the main blocks of the procurement process: from the purchase requisition to the purchase contract, followed by the transfer of key data to the SAP main accounting system for placing and accounting purchase orders.
The contractor for the project was Norbit. The Information Technology Management team worked on the project together with the developer's methodologies, drawing on the experience of Lenta employees in implementing SAP SRM. As a result, the project team worked out the main blocks of the process: purchase requests, market analysis, budget approval, qualification of suppliers, planning and conducting a tender procedure, holding a tender committee, and an agreement.
Through the automation of the process, Lenta will transfer more than 80% of non-commercial purchases to the SRM system by the end of 2025, speed up the process of agreeing on the results of tenders and contracts, and further reduce the cost of regular and one-time purchases.
