Opening of new shops (including online stores) and the expansion of number of suppliers and a commodity matrix connected with rapid growth of business of M.Video caused increase in volume of the stored and processed data. It led to increase in load of the current system that could call into question delivery of annual financial statements in time.
"Earlier existing BW solution processed amounts of data, saved up by our system (and it more than 2.5 billion lines), quite slowly – on daily loading of new data about 3 hours were required. A new system copes with this task less than in 30 minutes. More than 100 times quicker the report on commodity balance began to work and also there were available development (for example, about goods on all objects of the company in a year). In addition to significant simplification of reporting, the processes connected with providing information for external auditors are optimized. In such situations preparation, check and providing analytical reports is required in very short time and in the most different detailings", - Gleb Shevtsov, the Operating chief financial officer, M.Video told.
"Implementation of model of calculation of requirement of an exit of goods from the central distribution centers the horizon for 2 weeks allows to estimate correctness of the carried-out settings in schedule systems, to understand at the operational level the planned volume of the shipped goods (in different cuts) and to have an opportunity to react quickly to a situation. These are important aspects of success of our business. Earlier calculation of model was performed manually by means of MS office that made calculations very labor-consuming, and model - unsuitable for operational work. With implementation of innovations of SAP company we had an opportunity to implement the tool for operational planning - an exit of goods with TsRTs in cubic meters, pieces, on regional warehouses and shops to the SKU level – in a system that allows the company to support process of distribution of goods up to standard", - Irina Dementieva, the development director of distributive network, M.Video commented on implementation.
"Thanks to transition to the Hitachi UCP platform for SAP HANA it was succeeded to meet the deadline delivered by Board of Directors on providing annual accounts, having accelerated process of report generation in tens of times. Moreover, this transition allows us to solve a problem with BI solution performance for the years ahead. The essential stock of performance put in technologies of Hitachi will allow us to continue transfer and other business and critical applications on the SAP HANA platform", - Igor Veselov, the Operating Officer on IT considers, M.Video.

The implementation project started in September, 2012 and left in productive operation in January, 2013. Now in a system about 100 users from different divisions of the companies work.
