"MAN" prepares for replication of SAP F&R in the network

On March 14, 2014 the TeamIdea company announced the beginning of a pilot project of system implementation of demand forecasting and replenishment of the range of SAP Forecasting and Replenishment in shopping Mall MAN.

Project Tasks

In March, 2013 the company management made the decision on implementation of SAP application of Forecasting and Replenishment (SAP F&R) which helps to understand and create precisely the forecast of the sales demand, to automate the order for replenishment and to save difficult balance between the inventory level and service quality of buyers.

Acted as consultants for implementation: TeamIdea company and division of SAP company - SAP Consulting.

The choice of SAP F&R is caused by advantages:

  • Providing an optimal stock of goods at the shop/SKU level, decrease in an indicator of lack of goods available (Out-of-Stock).
  • The automatic choice of an optimal forecasting model at the level of shop/SKU pair.
  • Taking note on demand of promotion actions, holidays and other calendar events.
  • Ample opportunities of optimization of the order (on the minimum quantity, on cost efficiency, on loading of transport), accounting of delivery schedules, a possibility of balancing of orders for more equal loading of warehouse/shop.
  • The high level of automation of orders (90-95% of orders do not require intervention of the person).
  • Convenient graphic user interface.
  • Integration with the SAP ERP system and any other ERP system.

Project Results

SAP implementation F&R will assist shopping Mall MAN in achievement of main objectives of the project:

  • Replenishment action process optimization
  • Increase in accuracy of the autoorder
  • Minimizing of situations of out-of-stock
  • Process automation of replenishment action of shops
  • Process automation of replenishment action of RTs
  • Increase in the service level
  • Minimization of influence of a human factor

As of March 14, 2014 the customer is going to begin distribution of the solution on all shops of network (56 shops in the territory of the Volgograd region) and further work for increase in business performance of the company.
