MES of Western Siberia complete the construction of a segment of the fiber-optic communication line

On November 12, 2013 the company NVision Group announced completion of construction of a segment of the communication fiber line (CFL) for West Siberian branch joint stock company FGC UES.

Project Tasks

Under construction the fiber-optic communication line it is intended for collection of information from objects of an electrical power complex, consolidation of the main power networks companies (MES) of Western Siberia.

Project digits

Total length of the created sections of the fiber-optic communication line "Tyumen – Surgut – Nizhnevartovsk – Noyabrsk. Surgut – Khanty-Mansiysk" 1500 km, from them 300 km of own and 1200 km of leased resources. The communication line became a part of the Uniform technology communication network of power industry.

Project Progress

The project is begun in 2011. The transport segment is created on the basis of the DWDM technology allowing to transfer data with speed up to 10 GB / with, distribution – SDH, an access network – SDH/PDH. By the fiber-optic communication line it is created based on the equipment of world leading manufacturers: NEC DWDM of the TM-3000, NEC SDH series of the V-Node series and also PDH equipment Marconi.

Creation of the fiber-optic communication line increased the level of fault tolerance both power network in general, and its separate elements. It allowed to integrate control and management systems of separate substations into a single system. Operating control behind operation of the equipment and a status of the power transmission line will help to react to non-staff situations quicker.

"Requirements of FGC UES for reliable communication channels steadily grow: traffic volume from accounting systems, control and security increases, demand for secure channels for exchange of corporate information grows", – Svyatoslav Popov, the director of the information and technology systems of FGC UES branch of JSC – MES of Western Siberia noted.

"The network helped to organize reliable channels for data transmission of control systems and security set on electric substations in the managing centers. Besides, it became the communication environment for divisions of the energy company", – Yury Pshenichnikov, the director of a division of work with the energy companies "Nvision Group" emphasized.

By November 12, 2013 works on construction of the fiber-optic communication line Surgut-Noyabrsk, FGC UES completing consolidation fiber-optic communication line in Western Siberia in the reserved ring structure are begun. Besides, NVision Group started construction of the fiber-optic communication line "Bolchara – Kartopya – Atymya – BAZ" which will connect by a high-speed transit backbone of MES network of Western Siberia and MES of the Urals.
