MGTS starts smart Wi-Fi for corporate clients

In October, 2017 MGTS and Intracom S.A. Telecom Solutions (Intrakom Telecom), the Greek supplier of telecommunication systems and solutions, announced end of tests of the Russia's first platform on virtualization of Wi - Fi - services for corporate clients. With its help the organizations will be able to connect and manage far off services based on wireless access to network - Wi-Fi with restriction of speed, Wi-Fi with content filtering, Wi-Fi with authorization and other services on earlier unrolled networks and the equipment of MGTS without additional costs.

The pilot zone was constructed in the center of testing of compliance of MGTS where on the platform of virtual Wi-Fi-services of Intrakom Telecom complete virtualization of network functions (VNF) using technology of software-defined networks (SDN) is carried out. Specialists of the company for the first time within one platform integrated the equipment Wi-fi of different vendors in a single network.

Using this platform MGTS will be able to provide to the organizations virtual services Wi - Fi - access with fast deployment of networks and full automation of management, quickly to expand the list of new Wi-Fi-solutions on the equipment which is earlier installed at clients, to open access to statistical data and to perform technical support via specially developed web interface.

Clients of MGTS will receive the instrument of effective management of resources. Employers will be able to see consumption of Internet traffic on each point and if necessary to change rules of its use for guests and employees that is especially relevant for the organizations with geographically distributed network. IT specialists of the company will be able instantly to configure and update necessary services in one or several branches.

Implementation of the platform on virtualization of Wi - Fi - services is planned for 2018.
