2023: Implementation of the DataMed system based on Analytic Workspace in the Saratov region
In the Saratov region, the BARS MIS medical information system is used to collect and store data in healthcare, which allows you to receive information from each medical organization. Within the framework of the national program "Demography," an Information and Analytical Subsystem of the State Health Information System (IAP GISZ) is being created for a comprehensive analysis of health indicators in the region.
The basis of the IAP GISZ was the information and analytical system DataMed, created on the basis of the BI-platform Analytic Workspace. BARS Group announced this on December 26, 2023. DataMed seamlessly integrates with BARS MIS, which ensures efficient collaboration and data exchange between the two systems.
For prompt monitoring and familiarization with the current performance indicators of medical organizations, it is necessary to provide information in a convenient interactive format. The IAP GISZ system is installed in all medical organizations in the region to form a complete picture.
The main users of the IAP GISZ are the Medical Information and Analytical Center (MIAC) of the Saratov Region, regional representatives of the Ministry of Health and chief doctors of medical organizations.
The data sources for the IAP GISZ of the Saratov region were:
- BARS MIS;
- Periodically updated.xls files.
As part of the organization of the analytical system of health data of the region, such information panels are created as:
- "Physician Appointment Record Analytics"
- One of the main functions of the dashboard is to display the number of doctor appointments in various healthcare organizations. The panel provides analytical information on the number of services provided by records, and also allows you to view information on the number of canceled records with the possibility of detailed analysis.
- Using this dashboard, you can track the number of records received from different sources, such as infomats, registry, and personal physician. You can also estimate the percentage of records received through EPGU, which is an indicator of the digital maturity of the region.
- In addition, the dashboard provides an opportunity to assess priority specializations of physicians based on the number of records, average load and other important indicators. This helps to optimize the work of medical organizations and make informed management decisions.
- "Electronic Document Submission Analytics to the EDM"
- The dashboard provides analytical information on the transfer of generated documents to the EDM (Register of Electronic Medical Documents) in various contexts. It displays information about the transfer of documents to various medical organizations, the state of sending and the type of electronic medical documents (SAMDs).
- Using this dashboard, you can identify the electronic medical documents that cause the most transmission errors, which allows you to find weaknesses in the process of sending documents to the EDM and take action to fix problems and improve the process.
- "Provision of Federal Electronic Registry (FER) by physicians"
- The panel provides analytical information on the work of physicians within the framework of the federal electronic registry. It displays data on the number of medical staff on which the schedule is established, as well as other related indicators with details up to the level of the medical organization and the doctor's specialty. This information helps monitor and analyze physician performance and ensure quality of work in the federal electronic registry system.
- Statistical maps not included in registries
- The panel displays information on patient maps not included in general registries or official statistics. It provides information on the distribution of statistical maps by diagnosis, medical organizations, causes of hospitalization, as well as by type of payment. In addition, the panel provides the ability to include certain cards in existing registries.
The introduction of the information and analytical system of the IAP GISZ in the Saratov region contributed to the unification of operational analytics necessary to support the treatment process and management analytics, which processes data throughout the region to form an overall picture.
Currently, the IAP GISZ based on Analytic Workspace is actively used in the region. It allows you to effectively analyze data, manage the treatment process and make informed decisions to improve the quality of medical care in the Saratov region.
