2020: Organization of wireless Internet access

Rostelecom announced on June 29, 2020 project completion on the organization of zones of wireless Internet access in 106 divisions 18 of medical institutions of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area at once: from Tazovsky to Noyabrsk and from Salekhard to Krasnoselkup. Works carried out within the contract with Medical information and analytical center of YaNAO. Thus now the wireless internet provides hospitals practically of all remote and hard-to-reach spots of the Arctic region.

Our patients had the next channel of communication. Considering country situation and the region, it is especially important to reside in touch with the family and also to have online access to news feeds of media. It is a peculiar guarantee of tranquility, the requirement of today — the director of Medical information and analytical center of YaNAO Olga Belorus told. — In each medical institution the different quantity of access points is organized. It depends on the size and the area of buildings.

The equipment installed in hospitals allows patients to communicate freely on social networks and to use all Internet services. About three hundred people at the same time can be connected to each access point. Only the smartphone, the tablet or other device with a connectivity to Wi-Fi is for this purpose necessary. It is possible to become authorized in network through the SMS, Unified identification and authentication system service of the portal of state services or in the phone number. All access points are equipped with content filtering system, and information is stored in the protected data processing centers of Rostelecom. The service is provided free of charge.

The organization of Wi-fi network for medical institutions of Yamal — the large infrastructure project. In buildings more than 700 access points are set. The project was implemented in only two months, employees worked with all necessary precautionary measures taking into account a relevant situation — the director of the Yamal-Nenets branch PJSC Rostelecom Alexander Oboltin commented.

The settlement of Tazovsky became the most northern point of the project where Wi-Fi appeared. Wireless Internet access was connected at once in six medical institutions here: maternity hospital, local clinic, children's, sisterly, tubercular and infectious departments of hospital. In the south of the region — in Noyabrsk — wireless Internet access appeared in 19 medical body: from stomatology to medical and sports department. Wi-Fi was connected also in medical institutions of the localities located from the West on the East of YaNAO. Service quality was estimated not only in the cities, but also villages. Wi-Fi-Internet access is available to patients of medical institutions of Krasnoselkup, Yar-Sal and Muzhi now.
