2021: Montrans Analytics Testing
Metro builders integrated transport monitoring into the Montrans.Analytics fleet management system. This was announced by Montrans on August 17, 2021.
The company MIP-Stroy No. 1"" is engaged in the laying of tunnels and construction transport intersecting units. As of August 2021, enterprise specialists work at fifteen facilities. Including - at the stations of the future Big Ring Line: Nagatinsky Zaton, Michurin Avenue and Vernadsky Avenue. The company's fleet as of August 2021 has about 150 pieces of equipment. These are: cars, trucks, road construction machines, lifting mechanisms and compressor units. As in many construction companies, the management of MIP-Stroy No. 1 faced such problems as: inefficient use of equipment, incomplete information information about the work of cars and drivers, lack of control over the movement of fuel.
There were fuel drains, inefficient use of mechanisms, large downtime. People sometimes hid at objects. The machines did not perform the required work, said Anton Kozlov, head of the mechanized works department of MIP-Stroy No. 1.
|
In MIP-Stroy No. 1, 119 pieces of equipment were equipped with transport monitoring systems. Since June 2021, the company began testing the Montrans Analytics cloud service. In the very first days, the management of the enterprise revealed the facts of fuel drains, cashing in funds from fuel cards and cases of inefficient use of equipment.
When introducing the Montrance tools, we saw how much fuel is being delivered on the cards and how much gets into the tank. Comparing the data in a convenient form, we got a real picture of what is happening, noted Stanislav Simakov, senior dispatcher of MIP-Stroy LLC No. 1.
|
The Montrans Analytics service saved the company's management from routine work. Previously, specialists manually processed data in Excel format. Now all statistics about the work of machines and personnel automatically appear on the manager's desktop after one click.
Fuel economy was 30%. The effectiveness of the mechanisms also increased by 30%. They began to clearly track the routes of movement. Created a special department, started analytics. They determined that there are mechanisms that we do not really need, which is easier to switch to their rental. A little staff was reduced where our cars were not involved. Plus, we removed the line staff that previously controlled and kept records of business processes. Transferred all this to the operation of the system, said Anton Kozlov, head of the mechanized works department of MIP-Stroy No. 1.

2020: Telematics installation
In Moscow, during the construction of metro stations, Montrans engineers installed telematics systems on road trains and locomotives. Montrans announced this on March 4, 2020.
The Techni-Metal Systemes MSV 120 is one of the longest vehicles in the world. The machine transports segments of reinforced concrete rings of the tunnel roof and runs only in a straight line. The distance from one cabin to the other is about forty meters. Depending on the load and the angle of the road, the engine consumes up to 40 liters of diesel fuel per hour. At the construction of the Karamyshevskaya station (Big Ring Line), three such road trains operate. The management of MIP-Stroy No. 1 decided to optimize production costs and installed satellite monitoring systems on machines. MONTRANS solutions allow you to control the consumption and balance of fuel, as well as know how long the equipment worked under load and how much idle.
The car has a 226 kW Scania DC 09 engine. A road train carries up to 85 tons per flight. The flow rate depends on the weight of the load, on the angle of inclination of the road and on how to press the gas pedal, said Evgeny Kosolapov - power engineer "MIP-Stroy No. 1"

{{quote 'author = noted Vitaly Eremin - engineer Montrans' Technique walks through the tunnel back and forth and accounting fuel consumption is very important to know in order to organize the working process. Builders should know how busy the vehicle was, how much fuel is left and when to refuel, }}
The construction company MIP-Stroy No. 1 installed telematics on more than a hundred of its vehicles. And on the Kommunarskaya metro line, at the construction of the Akademika Oparina station, JSC Technology Development Department operates construction. Two SCHOMA diesel locomotives remove soil from the tunnel. The weight of one composition together with the cargo reaches 150 tons. Fuel consumption up to 70 liters per hour. MONTRANS engineers had to cut the armor to install the fuel level sensor, which protects the tank from collapsed soil.
There were difficulties in installing the fuel level sensor. The tank itself is protected from above by armor. The thickness of the plate is 3.5 centimeters. I had to cut out the area with a Bulgarian to get to the tank. It took 3 hours and five diamond circles, commented Ilya Fenin - MONTRANS engineer

URST JSC installed telematics on more than forty of its vehicles. MONTRANS satellite navigation solutions help to control fuel consumption with an accuracy of one percent. Management knows exactly when to refuel the equipment in order to prevent downtime. In addition, monitoring helps discipline drivers and increase productivity. The economic effect of the introduction of telematics exceeds 30%.
