MIPT manages educational process using 1C

Specialists of IBS company created the integrated information system for development of infrastructure in the field of management of educational process of the National research university – Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

As the assistant to the vice rector for information development and informatization of NIU-MFTI Konstantin Zaytsev reported, "The management of university initiated this project with the purpose of optimization of mechanisms of management of educational activity. First of all, it was required to create opportunities for providing to governing bodies of MIPT of the relevant, complete, authentic and regularly updated information necessary for providing the successful course of educational process".

The project was also directed to increase in efficiency of process by traffic control of the different contingents of university (students, graduate students, doctoral candidates, applicants), improvement of process of obtaining the operational reporting on attendance and progress, unification of forms of submission of primary data on paper carriers, creation of conditions for formation of the schedule in electronic form and the solution of some other tasks. With the advent of the system of MIPT had to receive uniform full-function IT solution instead of a number of earlier operating systems which covered the separate areas of work of university.

The IBS company became the general contractor of the project based on an open competition. Consultants suggested to take as a system basis for MIPT the solution "IBS: Management of educational process", implemented by IBS company as an independent product on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform. This solution is developed by specialists of the company on the basis of long-term experience of cooperation with the organizations of education and considers features of activity of the Russian universities.

A system was brought into trial operation for half a year, complete implementation came to the end in 11 months. The total quantity of its users at the moment makes 80 people, and will increase further. Functional units of a system cover management of an educational organization structure, curricula and programs (according to federal state standards of third generation), planning and accounting of loading of departments, processes of the movement of the contingents of university, accounting of paid forms of education, preparation of the industry reporting. Drawing up and maintaining the schedule, work of selection committee, control of the current progress and attendance, holding a final state assessment is also automated.
