MTS changed Oracle with SAP

The operator of MTS, the long-term user of the ERP system and other solutions on the Oracle platform, signed the two-year contract with SAP CIS for delivery of ERP solutions. It it was announced in June, 2012 within the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.

Let's remind that in 2007 MTS finished implementation of the ERP system based on Oracle E-Business Suite (OEBS) in all branches of the company in 85 cities of Russia. Implementation began in June, 2004. The Kvazar-micro company acted as integrator (Sitronics IT now).

And in 2011 using the same Sitronics IT of MTS set an additional extensive portfolio of solutions from a complete stack of Oracle, including the Oracle database of Database 11g, binding Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies and the integration Oracle Application Integration Architecture platform and many other systems.

Now according to the contract with SAP, in 2012-2013 MTS is going to implement a complex of IT solutions of SAP in the field of logistics and purchase management, HR менеджента and risk management, business process optimizations.

Andrey Dubovskov noted that SAP will be used by MTS for optimization of purchases. Only in 2012 for the realization account of these processes the group will manage to save 25 million euros

Among applications - Application Users, Procurement, Retail & Warehousing & Transportation, Workforce Management, SAP BusinessObjects enterprise perfomance management (EPM) solutions, SAP BusinessObjects governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) solutions, HR, Quality Center. The contract provides uniform conditions of use of licenses for all group of MTS.

As the president of JSC MTS Andrey Dubovskov noted, optimization of purchasing activity is strategy process for group of MTS today. According to him, only in 2012 at the expense of partner projects in the field of purchases MTS expects to receive economy of operating and capital expenditure in the amount of about 25 million euros. "Use of the integrated SAP products will contribute to the development of a number relevant for the company and our subscribers of projects, including optimization of retail network MTS, reconstruction of networks of fixed connection", – he said.
