According to the director of the department of IoT of MTS Sergey Irevli, IoT-networks have tens of protocols, each of which has the specifications, methods of connection and mechanics of interaction with the device that slows down development of Internet of Things. Thanks to consolidation of protocols in the single interface this problem should be solved, he considers.

By December 23, 2019 the technology is already tested, clients of MTS in the field of agriculture, power, developers of sensors of doors and gas meters, systems of accounting of water and heat began to use it. In total the IoT-platform of MTS has more than 4 thousand clients.

According to the president of ANO Umnye goroda Artyom Yermolaev, the main problem of market development consists not in distinction of protocols for the systems of Internet of Things, and in lack of demand.
