The telecom operator Multiregional Transit Telecom develops solution DWH of the high level of readiness

The Oracle company deployed the solution of DWH of Pillar Axiom 600 in JSC Multiregional Transit Telecom (MTT).

Goal

The operator developed the new perspective project with use of the cloud computing gaining strength for the purpose of expansion of the list of services and providing new functionality to clients – YouMagic service. Its functioning requires secure storage location of data - with the high level of scaling, optimized for work in cloud environments.

Choice of the supplier and product

As a result of the conducted researches a choice of the supplier was made for benefit of Oracle company.

Before implementation the closed tender for delivery of the data warehouse is held. The offered Oracle for the organization of storage a storage system of Pillar Axiom 600 not only met all formal technical requirements, but also offered advanced functionality of management of levels of service that will give the chance of MTT more flexibly to manage service quality.

One of technology selection terms of the platform was high degree of granularity of architecture, i.e. an opportunity to begin the project with the minimum configurations of the equipment and, in process of growth of the customer base, to add necessary components, increasing capacities without idle time of service. Such approach which is standard for cloud services would allow MTT to optimize costs for infrastructure significantly.

Implementation Results

The data warehouse allows MTT to maintain image of the leading telecommunication company, the providing service with the guaranteed result and also – without additional efforts and costs to expand the range of services, to improve their quality.

Hopes and plans

The company hopes to pay back costs for product introduction within several years. After product introduction medium and small business and also individual entrepreneurs will have that opportunity which they never had – full-fledged telecommunication infrastructure.
