"MUEC" optimized preparation of the reporting SAP implementation of HANA

On December 10, 2013 Compulink Group announced end of a pilot project on implementation of the SAP HANA platform in JSC MOEK.

Project Tasks

Main goal of the carried-out works - increase in efficiency of financial and operating activities of "MUEC", acceleration and optimization of procedures of preparation of the reporting, considerable decrease in design load of the ERP system.

The system operating by the time of the beginning of the project assumed reports generation without use of modern technologies of processing and data visualization that considerably increased a set-up time of reports, besides, a similar system did not give an opportunity of fast correction and corrections. Any changes, even the most insignificant, demanded intervention of developers.

Project Progress

Compulink Group executed a pilot project: design, delivery and setup of the equipment according to requirements of the customer.

Specialists of the company also conducted the comprehensive analysis of reporting system and survey of the users working in a system, performed design and a software setup. In new architecture near the traditional database the SAP HANA complex which using own load facilities takes data, necessary for report generation, from a DB and provides them to end users using SAP Business Objects is unrolled.

Main advantage of SAP HANA is that all manipulations with data are carried out in RAM and on specially dedicated server that allows to reduce load of the ERP system.

"Failure about the hand-written system of reports generation for benefit of the industrial solution gives great opportunities for growth. At the moment we configured formation of 15 different reports, but if the company has a need for new reports, then it can be made based on the existing platform without its expansion or addition, having just designed and having configured an output of queried data. Besides, the pilot project showed that the SAP HANA complex set by us allowed to accelerate reporting activity of customer company significantly: time of report generation was reduced at least by 60 times, and on some it was succeeded to achieve a bigger decrease – from 24 to 4 o'clock minutes and 2 minutes. Now it is difficult for us to count precisely economic effect of system implementation of HANA, but it can make tens of millions of rubles", − Ivan Zhadnov, the director of consulting of Compulink Group noted.
