On May 23, 2019 Corus Consulting Group announced project completion on creation of a system of the analytical reporting of SAP Business Warehouse based on SAP HANA and the SAP BusinessObjects tools in Makro supermarket chain.
Earlier the reporting prepared in the company manually or a semi-automatic method that required a set of labor costs and completions. Users applied simplified methods of measure calculation, and possibilities of the spreadsheets used for preparation of the reporting did not allow to involve all necessary analytical cuts because of huge amount of data. All these factors did not provide the due speed of preparation of analytics.
During the project more than 20 reports among which there is an execution plan of sales, price analysis, reports on Out of Stock, settlement with suppliers, cash analytics, ABC and the XYZ analysis of sales and a trade margin were created. Possibilities of the implemented BI solution allow the management of Makro to carry out the analysis of cash vouchers which is data bulk, the held promotion actions and other indicators, necessary for assessment of the average check, loading at the checkout of each supermarket, efficiency.
Alexander Orlov noted:
A BI system really simplifies process of preparation of financial statements in the company: daily traffic of the loaded data makes about half a million check lines. Such careful analysis of financial performance will become the reliable base for acceptance of the weighed management decisions by us. We are going to develop further actively business intelligence tools to increase quality, visualization, convenience of using and speed of obtaining data, necessary for decision-making.
