On May 20, 2015 the Caucasian branch of MegaFon announced the partnership agreement signed with Management of highways of the city of Sochi according to which the operator will ensure functioning of 145 channels of mobile Internet access for remote control of devices of transport and telecommunication infrastructure of the city

Project Results

Using SIM cards with Internet connection of MegaFon in Sochi centralized operation is organized by city traffic lights, road surveillance cameras and sensors of intensity of the movement of vehicles.

Information from devices comes on channels of the mobile Internet of MegaFon to the main point of data processing of the automated control system of highways of Sochi which specialists fix transport incidents and conduct monitoring of capacity of streets and intersections of the resort town.
